Massive Events Launch

GRM Events team have three big things going on and we want you all to know and get involved.

We’ve had some fun launching the 5 in 5 series!!!

5 in 5

We thought we’d have a little fun with the launch of the 5 in 5, which is a series of interviews where we will be speaking to a leading Attorney from each of the 54 countries, every quarter, about the economy, the legal market, the job opportunities, the deal opportunities, the political and social climate, and much more.

We are creating a genuine network of leading lawyers, across the whole continent introducing our global audience to the world-class talent across all of Africa.

We want to bring the legal community together, to network, to get to know each others markets and potentially work together to create opportunities in the future.

If you want to be the key Attorney in your country, email Rob on rob@thegrmgroup.com

This series will be EXCLUSIVE to our Substack channel

A Champion’s Mindset

Over the last couple of years I've been talking to Partners like yourself, about how to train their Associates on the "immeasurables".

Things such as, being relentless, commitment, taking responsibility, having resilience, hard work, team work, work ethic, adaptability, grit, anti-fragility, determination, having effort every day, even when you don't want to, and how to overcome challenges in your mind, spirit and body to keep going until you reach the top.

So we've put something truly unique together.

Join us for an exclusive Q&A breakfast series hosted by Rob Green and sponsored by Umbiie.com.

In this captivating series, we sit down with South Africa's top sports stars and delve into the mindset, resilience, and unwavering determination that propelled them to the pinnacle of their respective fields.

In our premiere edition, we are honoured to have South Africa's only boxing world champion, Sive Nontshinga, and his renowned trainer, Colin Nathan.

Witness an intimate conversation as they share their journey, the challenges they've faced, and the invaluable lessons they've learned along the way and what we, in the business world, can take from them into our day to day.

Held in front of a select audience of 25 of the country's top lawyers and business people in Cape Town or Johannesburg, this series promises to be an inspiring and thought-provoking experience.

Gain insights into how these athletes navigate success, defeat, and adversity, and discover how their mindset can be applied to your daily working life.

UJ - Anti-Corruption Summit

We are assisting the Office of the General Counsel of the University of Johannesburg in hosting the inaugural Combating Corporate Corruption Summit.

This exclusive 2-day Combating Corruption Summit will be held at UJ's Keorapetse William Kgositsile Theatre, with the VIP party in the UJ Art Gallery.

The event will feature a range of panel conversations, networking, and social events, hosted by UJ and Dan Corder of eNCA's The Dan Corder Show, as the MC.

The audience will be the top 400 Chairpersons/CEOs in corporate SA, General Counsels/Managing Partners, a former President, two Chief Justices, and many more business leaders at this very exclusive two-day event.

The objective of the summit is to bring together industry leaders, journalists, scholars, and professionals such as attorneys, anti-corruption experts, and auditors from across South Africa in one venue, for two days to confront corruption head-on and chart a path toward a more transparent and accountable South Africa.

To quote Dries the UJ GC, “As a globally recognized institution, we have the responsibility to advocate for genuine change. If not us, whom? If not now, when?” It is time to actively participate in the solution instead of just discussing it.

If you would be interested in finding out about the opportunity to be a sponsor at this event, please contact our Head of Events, Sue Smith at sue@thegrmgroup.com
