General advice from Rob Green.
Questions they will be asking themselves in the interview:
This is important to note so that you can be aware of how you have to come across.
They will be asking themselves questions like, Can we work with her/him? How will she/he complement the existing office and partnership? Is she/he going to be the type of person we want in the office?
Is she/he strong enough technically? Would she/he be good with clients? Can we offer the platform she/he wants? Does she/he know what she/he wants in her career are we the place for it?
Here you will have to really convince them why you want to move to their firm and your answers will have to be strategic and upbeat.
Likely questions for you:
What do you know about the firm?
Why do you want to work for us?
How do you think this team can improve with you onboard?
Where do you see the growth areas in the market?
What skills can you bring to this role?
(Law firms) What client following do you have and what revenues have you been doing?
What do you understand about us?
Be thorough when explaining the work you did and the role you played, explain the roles with enthusiasm.
Always make your answers relevant to the question by bringing in something that you have done, or that you know.

General Tips
You should always have questions prepared. About the company, about the role, about the interviewers, and their background? Where is the team going? About the current team structure, its people, the platform, the portfolio, etc.
Do your research - on the company and the Partners/Directors, and read their articles. Use Google, LinkedIn, our Substack, and the company website.
They are obviously busy but this is a very important hire for them, so thank them for their time, and be courteous and polite.
SMILE! Remember you need to be someone they want to work with every day! You'll be amazed by the number of people that don’t get the job because they don’t smile.
MOST IMPORTANTLY RELAX -and enjoy the interview. Prepare properly, have a list of relevant questions to ask, and remind yourself of your profile so that you have good solid examples to take them through.
It'll be useful to read the news section of their website and any archive reports.
